Wisbech October 2009

The Hudson Leisure Centre in Wisbech is the third new venue for the East Midlands this year - and Adele, Gerry and the rest of the team at Fenland Flyers did a great job in running the October grading competition for us. A small team of Night Flyers attended, but did well to get a second and two third place trophies. We also had 3 qualifiers - Lucy, Sophie and Hollie. We had our fair share of fun too - Maddie thought she'd chuck in a back to front for good measure, which Rebecca decided to invent her own set routine. Katie really kept the judges on the edge of their seats with her "is it a bird? is it a plane? it's going backwards! it's a front drop" routine. So well done to Finley, Sophie and Lucy for holding up the honour of the club and a great big thanks to the rest of you for competing so well. We've got the Regional Closed comp next, much closer to home, so let's see many more of you out there! Thanks as always to Helen & Toni for the toe pointing, finger stretching and nose wiping. Also thanks to Keith and Andy for officiating (and to Toni, who doubled up as a marshal for a bit!). Finally, a get well soon wish for Natalie from Extreme - hope you're feeling a bit better.
